Never mind.

I worked out how to shuffle iPod playlists, albums or songs when listening.
Select your audio source, in this case iPod. Press the physical menu button. Brings up all the shuffle and play options.
Why I originally didn't find this obvious I don't really know...

... much like displaying your wallpaper whilst listening to tunes... not obvious. But easy when you know how.

Regarding fitting the red grille garnish.

Erm

I might end up selling it .. and the rear garnish as I'm getting drawn towards the "darker look".

Seems a lot of work for a garnish, should sell pretty quick to the black car owners who want the SE look.
Darker stealthy look would suit the rays I reckon

Mine would have been retrieving the camera from his lower intestines if they'd tried that one.
