FK2 FK2 general discussion

^^ that's quite amusing.

They're based off the old clio chassis, surprised they didn't pinch renault's hardware tooling too!

Aren't they about £6k new? There must be so many corners cut on that that it's pretty much round.

Had an exchange via facebook with honda australia, no current plans to release the CTR on the AUDM..

Now considering personal import from Japan.. Damn honduuuur.

I don't know man. On GoAuto they seem to be certain that it will be sold there.
As we saw with official images that leaked ahead of the show, the Type R – which is due to be launched in Australia next year
the all-new turbocharged Civic Type R, will not roll into Australian showrooms until late 2015.
This timing will push the Australian launch out to late in 2015 at the current rate of development,
Beyond this, Honda’s Australian arm will seek incremental growth through the addition of at least one entirely new model line, and will bolster its image with up to two new green vehicles and a pair of vitally important sportscars in 2015 and 2016 respectively: the reborn VTEC turbocharged Civic Type R hot hatch and NSX hybrid supercar.

I really hope that horrible decal on the side is an optional extra, it looks tacky as fcuk.

If the finished road car is the same as in that vid apart from the decals and 20" rims then i will be very interested in one, especially in that colour.

I'm actually starting to go off it... Reminds me of the Focus RS when that came out. I know it's a concept but it's a bit to "pre-modified".

Agree about the wheels.
I prefer a bit more tyre & a little less wheel than this has.
Looks like it has rubber bands fitted.

There is no pleasing some people! It's meant to be an uber hot hatch hence the styling. I'm sure they'll tone it down somewhat for the actual production car.

I realise that. I just wouldn't my car looking like a Touring Car when I buy.

Even your regular Corsa has 17" black wheels and body styling.

I guess this, and definately the Focus RS, are a bit lairy in the styling stakes.
If you like subtle then the Golf R is the way to go. There is one at work & it looks tamer than the GTI.
Part of me likes this for not going the conservative German styling way though, its sort of sticking two fingers up to the understated norm that passes for a hot hatch nowadays.

I'm glad of it. Why play it safe when it's supposed to be special. I like the focus's they look awesome.

Don't get me wrong, the concept looks the part.

I like modified cars so they stand out and are different. They're getting lost in manufactures styling.

I think I know what you mean. I'm not so sure on the stripes alright. It's a bit macdonalds car park!
