The pictures simply don't do it justice. The paintwork is fantastic now, such a lovely colour.

Great car! :D/

Thanks very much for all the hard work mate, puts my cleaning to shame . Certainly learnt a lot more.

It's so shiny and reflective its hard to tell what colour it is now

looks fantastic doesnt it. not ususally a fan of impreza's but that looks lovely.

I spent two days with James @ Ti22 detailing in Newport this week, and i've got a lot of respect and slightly more interest in detailing now :D

Thanks alot :)

Duragloss 901 wash
BH Normal clay
Lime prime / Menz FF to polish, with 3m polishing pad
Megs # 16 wax
Dodo red mist final spray.

All sorts elsewhere

BH Clay is a bargain. They sell a soft version too. BH uses water as lube, I usually wash the car and rinse it, then use an additional spray bottle as lube. It's fine for beginners, just use plenty of lube and be careful.

Cheers fella, where did you get the clay from if you dont mind me asking. CYC or Elite I'm guessing?
When you say be careful, what could happen? lol you got me worried now. I know people say to polish it afterwards due to marring.

Can't remember tbh matey. I normally use i4detailing. DWX discount code.

Just make sure it's lubed up, don't use a big slice, using the weight of your hand as pressure.

Hope you had some bigger pads than that in the pic
Nice work, may be worth noting (and you may have done this, I didn't notice a timescale) that it's best to leave a wax to cure for a while before going over with Red Mist. With RM having sealant qualities it can mute the finish the wax leaves as wax leaves a "warmer" finish and sealant more of a "wet" finish.

Hey Loud, yeah I had the usual 3m pads for the main body work. The wings realy did benefit from the smaller pads, there are so many contours I didn't want to create too much temperature on the ridges. PAin in the arse them wings tbh

Yeah the#16 usually likes a good 24 hours to cure, but I have found time and time again RM goes nicely over the 16 after 15 or so minutes.

This was also evident in the 30thAE thread below.

cheers
