Love it - as Chris says - amazing how a set of wheels make the car (the Sakuras not the Mini ones!!)
 
Ok, so JAE preparations are going a little slower than I would like. The car is painted on one side. The front bumper is painted but not fitted - and the splitter has been 'repaired'.

Still to do before Thursday morning:

1. fill passenger side arch to fit wheel.
2. paint rear bumper
3. paint passenger side - with very little paint left!!
4. paint roof (black - no white left at this point)
5. fit front bumper and somehow MacGuyver it back on as the fixing have broke.
6. fit seat subframe
7. fit bucket seat
8. fit harnesses
9. buy JAE provisions.

Not going to be an easy day tomorrow.
 
Did you paint it in your garage? Like proper paint or a roller Dulux style? Lol. I can't see that well on my phone...how can you only paint one side? Lol.
 
Yeah, I am rattle canning it in the garage. Only way I can get it done in 3 days lol. Not fussed on the finish as it'll be all coming off over winter. I can only reach one side at a time - the garage is too small haha!!
 
This build thread is already epic IMO :lol:

Big dished wheels, rolled arches and repainted (partly) in roughly a week
 
Paint it outside you fag.

I did my mk2 Escort in battleship grey outside my house once - 10 tins of spray paint from the Pound store.

Didn't even bother masking - big bit of cardboard, hold it over where you don't want paint, whole thing done in less than an hour.

Quote of the year for me:lol: I do hope you have dispensed with the Air Mask, and gone for the full high that is Aerosol Paint, it's the only way to fly. Everytime i smell rattle cans i am taken back to my Graffing Yoof, and the end of night buzz:lol:
