true. at the end of the day all i have is a mugen splitter, coilovers and an induction kit, oh and white wheels.
Are you serious? So you declare EVERY tiny little thing you add to the car? I would have to be mad to declare these poxy mods just for them to increase my premium by 300 quid
The really crazy thing is that you openly flounce about saying how you don't bother insuring your car properly because THE MAN wants to charge you too much, in a thread in which there is an insurance company posting in.
You've made no attempt to conceal your car's identity - if you were overly abusive about THE MAN and their modus operandi, they could put one call in to your insurance company (who you've also cheerfully listed) and they'd declare your insurance void.
the only thing that isnt "standard" are the white wheels. Do i need to declare these?
Yes, of course.
In that case i will, but can i just ask why this would make any difference at all? it doesnt enhance performance? they arent aftermarket wheesl?
They are a non-standard colour, they make the car stand out more. Insurer needs to know about any changes made to the vehicle from when it left the facotry, not just 'performance enhancing' modifications.
Imagine there are two parked on a road, both the same make and model, one has an aftermarket bodykit, one doesn't. Which one is more likely to be stolen/vandalised/broken into?
Point taken, i will inform them of the change today. I just hope they dont make me pay a ridiculous amount extra because of it
