My old ITR'S & New 500whp+ Accord Type R

Yeah they were **** hot dude, with me within 20mins, then a guy had a snoop, then arranged a truck for the morning, a full heavy flat bed as the car is low. Then he towed me home 2.5 miles, lol. They even offered me a courtesy car for 3 days FOC.

Said i have the full package AA cover. Its part of benefits you get on a Lloyds TSB Premier Account. That lot would have costs me £250, so pretty much covered nearly what i pay for the account on a yearly basis.

Yes hopefully more power dude, really want to get to that 1.5bar.

Gonna be ordering R888's now too, lol, Prada's aint going to give me the grip at anymore power i dont think. With R888's i will have really good street grip.

Ive been lazy with ordering parts etc and getting things sorted but she is currently making 505hp @ fly. Not finished yet, we have until next Sunday (when i pick her up) to get more power out of it, im sure its possible.

Did the following:

New Sump and Gasket
Rear Arms has been fitted
New AEM CD2I Ignition Module
New Alternator Belt
Walbro 250 Inline Fuel Pump Hardwired
Silicone 90 bend of Turbo
HKS Mushroom Filter
Remove all heatwrap, check over downpipe/manifold/screamer pipes. Re-heatwrap with better quality wrap for serious heat.


Just need to see what she can get before next weekend. :)
 
Is next weekend when you're likely to pick her back up again? Was at Eurospec at the beginning on Feb getting my service and MOT done and saw your 'other half' parked up inside :) With 505bhp at the fly, is that 1.2 bar or 1.3? Feel that you're getting close to achieving the 1.5 bench mark?

Oh, and Re: new tyres, what size do you need? Would 225/45/17 Yokohama A048R's tickle your pickle?
 
Yeah theres a rolling road day on next Sunday so going to pick her up then. Its 1.3 i think. One of the boost pipes is off at the mo, thats gotta be replaced and then back on the dyno.

Yeah not far dude not far, but its felt like that since starting the project! lol.

Why have you got some dude? Yeah they would do just fine.
 
Ok a little update. Boost leak sorted back on the dyno and making 505hp @ 1.4bar (on wastegate)

So the problem i now have is that the 2 fuel pumps and injectors are sucking fuel so fast that intank swirl pot can not fill up fast enough thus leaving me with air instead of fuel, so she leans out. Not good. So going in:

2 Ltr External Swirl Pot
AEM Fuel Rail
Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Reg & Gauge
Dash 6/8 Line
Another Walbro Pump (3 in total)

That will sort out that issue and i can rag it as much as i like.

I drove it on Sunday and it is smooth as hell, handling is flapping brilliant. First time id driven around country lanes and in the dry, traction wasnt too bad at all but thats to the way the Turbo comes in.

So once the fuel system is in, im gonna get it on the track and enjoy for abit. Before i think about a new TB/Inlet Manifold/Cams to turn the boost up. Ro & Ben did say a R35 GTR will need at least 650hp to keep up, so im kinda happy with that. :)

Though beware the GTR35 mate. I had about the same power as you and the quick changes on the GTR are impossible to live with:lol:

Ordering a Koyo Half Rad to replace mine as it has a larger core, gotta get the bonnet Vents in too.

I will take some proper pics once she is done. The fuel system will take a couple of weeks, once thats done i will get it cleaned and the bonnet vents in, bumper black meshed and then take some decent pictures.

Hello Chaps!

Been a while since ive update this thread and posted on the, soo busy at the mo not had chance to, althought i do pop in have a quick read now and again. Hope everyone is well.

The fuel system is in, and so is the Koyo Rad. Ro is just making sure everything is sound on the Dyno today. She should be coming home towards the end of next week, where i can start work on the cleaning up the engine bay, interior and exterior, then i can say the car is done!

Still at 505hp, but without the risk of it running lean towards the top end. However i did have a convo with Brain Crower and we believe the standard cams have done all they can performance wise, which is quite good, they possibly would have made more power but we have adjusted them as much as possible to help the turbo spool earlier, so if i want more power i need some Custom Turbo cams and we should be able to see 750hp, oh will need to chuck in 2200cc injectors too.

But that can wait!! Lol. Just want to get her home and tidy it up, and get some nice pics, been waiting to do that for over a year and half now, nearly 2 years! Its flown by.

However i thought you guys might like this, i am in love with it, i cant believe a car can make you feel so good, even in traffic, in the rain, driving slowly, you just constantly smile. However its really capable when pressing on, handles and stops well, put it into sport mode because ASR just constantly restricts you, rev's nicely upto 8750, and is so responsive, i guess thats cause of the dry sump and no crank slap.

Its got TUBI Style exhaust system on it and it is rather loud. I love it, i can sit there and look at it all day, i know its sad!

Motorway cruise it can give you 23mpg, around town your looking at 13, but this week ive averaged 14.5mpg, 80miles of country roads and hooning, 115 miles of motorway and 50 miles around town steady eddy. I was feeling it abit as i became so used to my Golf TDI giving me 45-50mpg but its sooo worth it, think i'll use the GOLF next week though lmao.
