some cock's just hit my parked car whilst it was outside house, lucky for me the lads in the car behind stopped and knocked on my door and give me the reg of the car. Now just gotta hope the police track the clown down

Holy sh!t, is it bad? I had something similar happen to me but I was in the car and chased them down. I was shaking where I was so angry, lucky for them she was female otherwise things would have been different

driverside bumper got a crease in it and the paints been scuffed, nothing major just a pain in the arse having to phone the police, insurance etc etc,

Ahhh that's fecking crap. Same area mine was hit aswell. I gave up in the end, got too pished off. I hope it goes well, hopefully your insurance is more competant than mine. Did the police care?

yeah they put a Ops notice out for all on duty police to keep a eye out for the car, the said the current registered keeper is in essex and doesn't hold insurance so they think it might have recently been sold so waiting a few days/week to see if the keeper details change or insurance appears.

Insurance company seemed ok, give them the details but holding off doing repairs as the police don't have info of the driver, so if they find him i won't have to pay my excess otherwise i will

I'll phone some local places in the next few days to see how much they'll charge to fix it and see if its cheaper then my excess of £900

£900, man you could buy a brand new bumper from honda for less than that including the splitter. So if the other party isnt insured I wouldnt bother going through the insurance, £900 to pay then another few hundred quid next year due to the claim on your policy.
Mines £400 and the work needed i know for a fact to be less than £200 so I just ignored them and am going about it myself. I know I shouldn't have to pay but if I do it myself I'm going to save in the long run

well got my jdm mats and carpet ready to go in, plan to do this on saturday as its a good forcast . New honda alloys on and fitted to replace the **** that were on previously.

Will get some photo's up after the jdm carpet and mats are fitted.

Regarding my bumper, insurance company sent me a letter on friday saying they've written to the dvla to request the owners details and they're intending to write to the owner of the vehicle seen by both witnesses hitting my car. Not heard anything back from the dibble yet, sisters boyfriend is a copper and checked it the other night but no updates on the file. Long story short, bumper still damaged just waiting for the outcome of the police & insurance company investigation

Question to anyone, got what seems to be a part of my dashboard above the fans in the centre console which has been damaged before i bought the car, anyone got any idea's how/if to repair this?

Question to anyone, got what seems to be a part of my dashboard above the fans in the centre console which has been damaged before i bought the car, anyone got any idea's how/if to repair this?

i would just stick an air freshner on top of it to hide the blemish.
i have a carbon poppy coral one on mine in that location and looks ok.

Looks like an air freshner may have caused the damage in the first place?

Center of the vents, maybe they tried scratching off the sticky crap left on there?

With regards to the bumper...I think I saw a thread on here and someone has said Honda supply a painted front bumper for £200ish.
Might be worth looking into that and sorting it yourself vs £900 excess bill.
Though of course, would be better if they catch the cooont and you dont have to worry about the excess.

yeah will cost think it was £250 for rear splitter and £270 for rear bumper so will go for that if the local dibble fail to catch the muppet.

just a quick update on the accident.

the cop came back round on friday evening it let me know they found the person who hit my car. Apparently he was a car dealer and driving off a traders policy, bad news is he died on wednesday 28th october from old age

just my look :lol: i've told my insurance company and see where we go from here
