  • Hello mate, long time no speak haha how's it going?
But yes, everything has finally arrived, the last thing turned up on Christmas Eve so was a nice present to myself :) lol
Yet now I have the issue of recouping cashflow to actually getting the bits I can't fit myself fitted and set-up properly. Not only that, but the bushes on my front suspension have gone and need replacing so I've got a quote from Artech to replace the bushes on the front and back suspension, fit the bits I can't, and set it all up along with a FRSU for around £800 (including them supplying me with a set of D2 LCA's).
Oly issue being that with Christmas and NY, £215 I've just had to stump up for road tax and my MOT and "big" service due in Feb and insurance due in March I'm really finding it hard to find the money :'( *sobs* But I'll find a way, I always do! Just might take a while lmao

Other than that mate, how was your Christmas and NY? Any new or planned car purchases?
all your packages turned up yet mate? facebook hasnt been posting any of your rants at the stupid customs for a while lol
Only just saw your message mate, would have snapped it up but I have no cash whatsoever lol
haha yes mate the sound of a sweet v8 rumble, phwoar! lol. my friend jon has a v8 3.0 (FWD #-o) audi a4 convertible and thats sounds good, but needs a nice exhaust to set it off.
oh really, hmmm, it is quite an expensive option though?
I've seen one or two at quarter mile runs, and with videos on youtube making a supercharger on the CTR a viable option :) they seem to be much quicker off the mark as a supercharger gives instant power, doesn't need to spool up like a turbo..
    And RS4 FTW!! ;) yet RS4 / VXR8.....? That'd be the boner gratifying sound of a V8 :D :D
Haha well women like cock and chocolate, so I will go with your theory as I would rather not know the rest, image of you covered in chocolate like the greased up death guy from family guy going into the blue oyster in the police academy film

Yeah but then I think the CTR is hopeless on low revs as it has no torque at all, don't race up hill lol. Supercharger you say? Hmm would be interesting, what are they like with a charger?
I have actually decided I want a VXR8, one came past me today with the nicest sounding exhaust (on a par with the audi rs4) and I fell in love with it lol
I have no idea whether they like chocolate or not, merely an assumption that seeing as they are all mincers and closer to females than men and women loving chocolate so much I'm just going on the basis that they are much the same and like the same things ;) haha
And the initial plan is to keep the CTR until I turn 30, so I'd expect that I would have spunked oodles of cash on it by then! lol and yeh, boost is fun, but the lag in the low revs winds me up! So in the future I may supercharge the CTR or something, but not sure :)
Haha yeah never going to see them again, I bet someone somewhere has a statistic for being on the phone over the course of a life time, and I reckon it will be a good decade just for speaking to the numpties on the other end at a call centre. Haha how do you know gays love chocoloate so much?
How long are you planning on keeping the civic? I'm getting a thirst for boost after going out in my mates pulsar, I need to get some mods on it because I know boost is expensive
I've given up ringing around now as it takes hours of my life that I'll never get back, and I'd rather paste myself in chocolate and throw myself in a gay bar than waste that time talking to idiots reading from a computer screen! lol
So now I just do all the searching online on comparison sites, then head direct to the cheapest companies to see if I can get a better deal, and maybe call them to see if they offer anything etc, so I generally only make one or two phone calls haha
Haha reallym well they are fecking idiots, can't even get their website to give a quote "you need to give us a call because we can't quote for this online" or something to that effect. I had a bad experience with them asking for £750 excess compulsory on a RS1800 fiesta with alloys lol he goes "How does that sound?" I was literally silent for a good 30seconds trying to comprehend what he just said, then I just said that he was crazy thinking I would pay that.
I actually hate doing it online but then again ringing around is even worse, spend like 5 mins just saying yes and no
Well Adrian Flux were crap when I first started looking, wanted almsot 2.5k for the CTR, and wouldn't touch me on my saxo as said the modifications were worth too much :? I mean, WTF!? "We specialise in modified and performance cars"... F*ck off do you! lol
But when the CTR is up for renewing I'll be doing the standard contact 7billion companies to get the best quote.. It had just be better damn it! haha
Haha well she does my head in when she does it lol. And yeah my day has been aweful, I may end up strangling someone lol.
Yeah, that's it. I have to tell them I've spent £xxx on whatever, but then if I smash it up I have to pay anyway, wheres the fecking sense in that. My car got scratched and they will use their authorised garage to repair it but I will have to pay £400 to have a £100 scratch sorted, so why the hell would I tell them, bloody tards! Sorry mate I can't help but rant today lol. It's because Elephant are idiots.
£950 is rediculous though mate, was that the best offer you got? Might be worth you trying Quinn Direct and Adrian Flux (for the CTR ofcourse ), they seem to give me crap quotes but you may get a good deal.
Haha, that little rant at the beginning made me chuckle massively! Cheers for bringing some sanity to my somewhat terrible day! lol
And my excess is the same £400 as a combined of voluntary and compulsory, but I had a £950 excess on my saxo due to the modifications, which, I thought wasn't bad seeing as the car was so heavily modified and everything declared.. But then I too read the small print, and discovered that even though I was paying £3600 a year insurance, with £950 excess looming over me, the policy only covered the cost of standard parts!! So if I had driven into the back of someone, they would have paid the £200 for a new standard bumper, then I'd still have to find the extra £2,500 to replace my custom one, and still have the claim on my history even though they paid **** all towards it!! :uber angry:..!!!
OMFG I was literally just going to ask you if you keep them the same, my gf allways reclines the frickin' seat and gets the visor down for the mirror so has the flap up on that, IT'S UNEVEN WOMAN WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO ME!?!?
Crickey, what's you excess like? Mine was £150 voluntary then found out theres a complusory £250 added, £400 excess FTL
Oh I only ever move the passenger seat, never ever move the drivers seat, and I go spare if anyone moves it as I have to sit there for ages trying to get the perfect position again :? and even when I move the passenger seat, it has to be symmetrical to the drivers seat (same distance back from the dash and in the same tilt)... OCD FTW! lmao..
And yup, I spent 2weeks going on every website I could think of, and that premium was the cheapest I was offered by around £300 to the next one :? :( so am really hoping that it comes down next year..
Really, bloody hell that's alot. Did you try compare the market and confused? I do that then whoevers cheapest I go direct to them and see how much lol got to be careful though as alot of insurers don't cover mods.
That's true, although I find trying to put stuff on the back seat a right PITA due to the size of the front seats and whenever they tilt forwards they go back to the setting for small japanese people so I don't ever bother to move it
My premium was £1154 fully comp (with 3rd party on any other vehicle), with a clean license and no accidents/ claims, but I don't have any no claims bonus as didn't drive for 3years after my last write-off so lost the no claims that I did have on my saxo.. So I'm hoping that when it comes up for renewing next year that I'll get what I would deem a decent quote haha Although saying that, this is the cheapest years insurance I've ever had (didn't have much luck in my youth lol) so I didn't think too much about it..
And nope, don't miss the boot at all as never need to use it, and if I do ever need to carry anything I fit it behind the front seeats or just put it on the back seats :)
Oh crap yeah haha forgot you have a sweet system in the back, do you miss having a boot? I quite like knowing that I have room for stuff need be, but then I do use mine often.
Yeah atleast you have room to move, that sounds better. Are you going to actual campsites?
How much is yours? Mines fully copm with 4 years no claims and two accidents (well one if they need over 3 years). Man, my mates are having quotes for amlost half that, I'm struggling to do anything because of the sodding monthly bill lol
Nice idea, but massive sound system would kind of get in the way and make things slightly uncomfortable ;) haha but yeh I've got one of the pop-up tents, but a three man one as I hate tents that are too small with no room to store stuff and move around, makes me angry lol
And lucky escape, points suck! Thankfully all of mine came off before I bought the CTR (infact, I waited until they were removed before I bought it, as wouldn't have got insured on it with them :? )
£1050?! Lucky bugger, that's cheaper than my yearly policy.. I'm not jealous in the slightest lmao..
