FK2 FK2 general discussion

Hello everyone!
Went under the car to see how can be this car so quiet.
As I found this "thing" / resonator, I thought have any of you removed this?
I'm thinking about cuting this extra weight off...

That box cuts down the drone at motorway cruising speeds apparently. Removing it has little other effect.
 
Well due to the journeys i make i can live without. I only have one small silencer on my exhaust which tbh probably makes no difference.

I bought a Ryan Tuerck gear knob for my GT86, made from an aluminium billet, slightly larger and same shape as that one and in winter it was freezing and summer boiling on your hands, even more so than the stock FK2 gear knob! Not very comfortable if I'm honest, I suppose you could always put a sock on it...
 
I have only ever seen one other on the road. He happened to be pulling out of the petrol station as I pulled in and naturally he gave it the beans up the dual carriagway as he left. The guy in the Golf R at the next pump proceeded to do the same as I was stood filling up. :lol:
 
I had a blue one pull up alongside me this evening, grinning his head off like a mad man he was
