Pete's 1995 Harvard Blue EG Civic

My only issue with this car if I purchased it, i'd feel guilty doing anything to it. It's such a clean example that I think modifying it in my own style, would be seen as ruining it. I'd love to have it as a prime example of how an EG should look, but I know i'd want to put my touch on it, and i'm sure i'd be crucified by some for it.

Gutted to hear this, I'd love to have another EG. They're my favourite shape of civic as I've said many times before. If I had the space I'd certainly consider it... I too would modify it though, I'd bang a b16 in it and some 282 brakes. Or maybe budget turbo the D series for ***** and giggles first

Loved the interior, loved the size, loved the light weight. Also my favourite civic chassis to date.

Wish I could afford it but I hope someone here provides it a home worthy of such a well-kept example.

Indecision has started to come knocking and after moving house and not really having the space for two cars here's my options:-

1) Keep the EG as my daily completely original.
2) Keep the EG as my daily and throw some money at it with a k-swap
3) Sell the EG and buy myself a DC5

Open to the floor... lol

Personally Pete, i'd K-Swap it, just for the sheer sh!ts and giggles once you have it done. A DC5 would be great, and i'd love another one myself, but I can't help but think how cool the EG would be, K-Swapped, nice wheels, good suspension setup etc. Just my 2p in the pot ;)

Thanks Darren, briefly mentioned it to Ben at TDi during the week and said I might drop an email into the shop.
A K20 with bolt ons and a map in an EG would be sh1ts and giggles thats for sure.

Never owned a DC5, hard to find a good one but there's one at Torque GT that looks nice and one at Performance Cars NI too.

I've been saying K Swap it since you bought it so I'm not about to suggest something else now

I’d go KSwap over a DC5 bud. Don’t get me wrong the Teg is an amazing car. They look stunning still and always get a lot of attention. But an EG that can embarrass far more expensive machinery will always be a win win in my eyes.
Get it done right, maybe upgrade the brakes for some EP3 Brembo’s, coilovers and some porn worthy wheels and you’d be on to a winner. You could keep it sensible height wise and use it as a daily. Or set it up for track and have a street/track weapon. Or go full on show spec but still used machine.
If it were me I’d go for the third option. Make the car really special. Fully tucked bay, clean outside, pimped up interior, and some mega spec wheels.

Deffo keep it dude, you’ll regret selling it! Said before, a built b16 or an 18 would be my choice, keep it of the period. They’re awesome motors and rocketing in value! See if you can find yourself an SiR or VTi dash too, makes a huge difference to the feel of the interior.

Does Tom still have his K20 just sat in his garage?

Thanks lads, everyone advising to keep the EG rather than buy a DC5 is telling me something.
I'll get an email off to Ben at TDI and drop Tom a message too.

Car now available for sale, will get a thread put up in the for sale section during the week.

Asking price is £3500 if anyone on the forum is interested.

Nnnoooooooooo :( :(. Why Pete? Thought you were keeping it bud?
