Suits' Nissan 370Z

Hmmmmm, FairladyZ badge......

Of all of the win in that picture, you notice the badge?

I know lol, I've been reading the build threads on 370Z Forum in the US, if I told you about ALL the amazing things they're doing, Beard et al, would close my thread.

As it would be bigger than his old Panzer thread.

However, I like the badge is all.

I'm only yanking your chain Bro.

(Seeing as you're probably accustomed to the American vernacular by now.)

First off - All genuine, all new.

So yeah, I've been looking at getting a Gruppe 'M for this.

They're super top quality, sound amazing on the K20 have tended to be the tuners choice.

Power for me in this instance is sub sector when deciding what filter I want, 1st, is noise, 2nd is OEM fitment, 3rd Power, 4th looks.

But ultimately for me on this car it's all about the noise.

So, Gruppe 'M it is.

Now, I'm unsure whether or not they actually make a purpose system for the 370Z, or whether it's one of their, bespoke, do it yourself systems.

You see, can buy Gruppe 'M filters from them, then, get your own tubing and done. The filters on their own are called 'Super Cleaner' as opposed to the Ram Air Systems we're all very familiar with on here.

All the listing's I have seen for the 370Z (which is listed as an available system from Gruppe 'M) look like Super Cleaner Filters matted with aftermarket tubing.

So you have to assume, that it is a specialist system designed and sold for the 370Z - I'm not that sure though.

That said, I'm sure that it's the business as a unit and will perform admirably.

It's £850 delivered from Japan. (So far)

The thing is, no one knows anything about them, no ** has them (in the UK IIRC) and no one has imported them.

Everyone seems to play safe and go for the tried and tested Stillen intake system, which by design, to be honest, looks like a better intake system due to the filters being positioned in a better, less exposed to heat soak, area.

Stillen are currently on their 3rd generation of intakes for the 370Z and these are pretty much considered the best for power increase - sound, don't know.

17.5HP (Wheels) figures have been quoted as a increase in performance, I would expect that to be mapped though mind you.

Still, power, don't really mind - yet.

Stillen comes in at about £550 delivered.

Don't forget due to the 2 separate intakes for the banks on the V6, you're essentially buying two of everything, so two GM's, two Stillens, so it was always going to be an investment.

Also, as well as these I'm getting a NISMO wing for the car - £Don't Ask

Get the GM, purely because they look like the air vents on my Benz.

That, and the fact no other c**t will have them.

Rear wing is what these are missing as standard IMO. Have you actually ordered it?

Stillen intake would get my vote, universal stuff tends to be s***e

Stillen, due to the lack of purpose built-ness on the Group Em's.

turdy.

wing looks superb though

Are there different generation Nismo Wings? If so, I prefer the one you posted above to the version on the Nimso car that has the central prop too.. if you know what I mean.. on another note - I thought you'd apprecaite this:

Very well spotted Sunny Boy !!

Right, the ones without the central piece are actually copies, the proper NISMO ones have a central piece.

Seibon and various others make them without, in two different sizes would you believe.

Like I said, I want NISMO.

I would take a Seibon, but they only do them in carbon.

I did respond to your PM, but your inbox was full mate.

RE:TFL

Yes, I'm still unconvinced, either way, if there is a specific version for the 370Z or whether it's just a basterdised version.
