Yeah you can use a hammer. I used a copper mallet, makes a bigger cleaner dent. A hammer makes smaller and harder work of it but both achieve the same

Another option for the exhaust is if it's only minimal you could put a small ding in it so it doesn't touch then it will be rattle free. I had to do this on my pre facelift

To check clutch i stop to stand still put it in 4th and lift the clutch and rev hard at the same time. If it stalls then all good. If it slips then its nackered.

In the end they didnt have a bolt unfortunatly so i cut the bolt. It was 5mm longer than i needed. So i cut 4mm off then filed it 1mm for a perfect flat base and drilled the inside with a big drill bit for the flange seat and bingo. It fits perfect and no leaks

check the piston, if the caliper looks like that the piston might be corroded and need replacing then its a choice of piston diy kit or new caliper you don't want to waste time painting them up nice and then they start sticking
