That's the thing. Mine has an official MPG rating of around 50, and is £130 a year on tax. Cars move on. I'm sure that model was fun, but times change.
Admittedly, I sit at about 36 MPG; but that's still better than I managed on the EP3, and on far less economical journeys now I've moved house. Torque FTW.
I do still want to have a tickle with a standard Type R - I know my old one would be quicker round corners as that's what I spent all my money on, but as I barely touched the engine I'd be interested to compare the two in a straight line. It still feels weird not needing to redline it in every gear. Especially when the redine changes depending what gear you're in.
Technology.
To me, putting it into Honda terms it's like comparing an EK9 with an CH1. Very different cars for different purposes - don't judge a whole marque based on your perceptions of one specification of one model. I know I'm fighting a losing battle on a Honda site, and that Dotty will be along to post an anti Ford meme soon - but I wouldn't have spent 7 happy years in a Honda if I only stuck to what I knew.
I wouldn't have met you lot either mind, so it wouldn't be all bad news.
