Not done a lot for a while. Had a long 6th gear fitted for the long journeys. TGM fitted it. Huge difference. Rather than 4200 rpm @80 mph its 3400. Full service and new front pads.

Are you for real? No grip at even low revs, constant wheel spin, no traction, not to mention the fact you have NO grip under braking. It's really an item of safety - don't skimp.

It will, but you would need to change and wire in a wide band exhaust sensor. The uk car has a narrow band sensor. DC5 may not have the immobiliser circuit either , which may cause an insurance issue. There are a couple of other things, but I can't remember what it is.

The Fujitsubo Legaris R is also quite good too.

The casing is different from what I was told. The internals are the same.

My old cosmic had a diff from a Dc5. TGM in fleet fitted it with a new clutch. Made a huge difference. I only paid £250 for it - and it had covered only 47000km on it. So it was still fresh!!

Thanks JMR. This one isn't as nice in my opinion. The Cosmic was mint. Not a single scratch. A 22 year old kid with no sense owned this. It's got nicks and marks in various places. Nothing major. Just needs a bit of TLC to get her back to glory.

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but did the C/pack on the JDM facelift come with factory xenon lights? The car I have bought has got aftermarket HIDs. Where are the ballasts on the JDM light clusters? I need to spend time working this out.

Tyres are an important factor with FRSU. may be the guy that complained has scrubbed his tyres with adverse camber - and after FRSU he will find that if handles like crap.

The gains on a dc5 intake are minimal when unmapped. The thing with the RBC is that it runs a lean without a map causing some nasty side effects, which has been documented. If you fit an inlet, I would look to at least having a kpro with a generic map with the mods - close map to what you have...

The JDM EP3 & DC5 manifold are the same. The EU EP3 has a smaller bore on the manifold.

You are right. I had no real intention of selling. I had the diff and clutch fitted and the engine mount insert. Eibach pro kit too. Camber arms and bolts. Got most parts off before she went. And I think I got a good price. But I still miss the excitement I uses to get from driving a CTR.

Tom is great. Even though he is a Honda specialist, I would prefer for him to do my work. He has got to do the Cam belt and waterpump on my Astra.

I did this. Used a Honda Jazz remote, and had my local locksmith cut a blank. Took the immobiliser chip from my spare key, and hey presto.

I've done this. Save the bulk of the separate keys. Easy as the write up. Only fun part was cutting off the plastic around the old key.

Did you take the glaze off the pads before refitting? That often helps.

Second hand with an ECU you can pay anything between £650-£800. New Kpro are about £750. But that needs to be fitted into your ECU. Expect to pay around £100 for an spare ECU.

Not a squeak now from my DS2500. I did have to fit the anti squeal shims from Honda. Only £12. Stopped then from that 'squeal'. There is a thread about that somewhere. BY the way, never heard a squeal again.

Yes. There are plastic mounts available to fit 5.25" speakers. I personally have gone for a 6.5" speaker - this sounds better. The 5.25" lack bass. See my build thread. It's on here somewhere.
