I had Zircotec coating on my manifold before worked really well

Evo don't get this because of the open bonnet And not for sure if the have Zircotec Ceramic Coating ;) The manifold cost about grand with the Coating You could run the car hard and touch the manifold with out burning yourself its get stuff

The CTR has a bigger boot than the Golf but it's only a 4 seater The Golf R runs on 98oct fuel were as the Honda uses 95oct I bet the Civic uses less fuel than the AWD Golf no matter what they Say on paper . The Golf will be a more refined ride for sure

I think in many ways the Golf R is a better car than the CTR as an every day driver but I just can't get passed its conservative looks myself

I can't see me going to a set then, I used to run f1 eagles on my Evo,s with AWD it's not so bad but once it's wet and cold the CTR needs all the grip it can if you use it as a daily driver I spend more time on the road than a track

True but to get the record they had to strip the car it's only A 2 seater with no sound deadening or parcel shelf doesn't even have any mats plus comes with a light weight battery I believe they use the these cup2 tires which great ona dry track . I would be interesting to see a striped out CTR...

Yep I reset it many many times but still it would light up I was using 235/45/18

Do you have any problems with your tyre pressure warning light coming on with them ? My 18'' winters rims would always have the light coming on

I was impressed with the hands-free system still at 100mph you can be heard by the caller can't do that in any off my Evo's and love the that you have volume controls on there to my other doesn't have any of this

On a turbo car the gains can be big, on one with over 300bhp you could see 10%+ ask any car mapper they will back this up or even watch the video from 5th gear posted a few pagers back

I had a radar and laser system on my S2000 worked really well even going at silly speeds it gave you time to slow down but you get so many false alarms and with he FK2 having radar and parking sensors fitted you may find it will mess up the system

My girlie is driving my one round Wolfsburg area of Germany and said still she hasn't seen another one yet

I wouldn't say there is much motorway drone but there again I normally fit aftermarket exhausts to my car anyway, you can still use the in car handsfree calling at a 100pmh+ so it can't be that bad The ride is firm but not as much as my Evo 8 was for sure

I had a manual Evo X fq36O with with 480ps and it just ran out of revs at the top end as it was only 5 speed box looking at the S3 above I still think it looks boring

I believe there only running the FK CTR for 2 years which means it's going to be very very rare

I going to order a Milltek exhaust for the CTR when I get back from my new job As the standard one is a little to quiet for my liking and an extra 10bhp is always good

In the dry I feel CTR would give an Evo ( with the same power ) a real run for its money In wet well thats another story :) Top speed the CTR wins hands down because of its gearing If I was to go for another Evo it would have to be a 9MR

I also had a 410bhp Evo 8 which was the best The Type R reminds me a little of the 8 in some ways I said to one friend it drives like the 8 but has more toys than the 10

So far the car is great saying that apart from the auto full beam lights which comes on even when there are cars coming towards ya I think the red pack really helps brighten the dash up

They make my brakes looks bigger lol there my cold weather tyre's a bit more rubber is better in the cold the 19" are in the boot

I went for The 18" Wolfrace Munich rim which are still light weighing in at 9.6kg and the Goodyear Ultra Grip winter tire the rims look similar to the standard one's all be it without the red lip All in with a set of locking nuts and posted to Honda just £1200

5 days for me :) I've gone for the Red pack, carbon console and matts The 18'' winter alloys should be there and fitted today Fingers crossed they do fit :)
