Sounds good, so there's no detrimental affect to removing the fins? i'm really not bothered about noise, I want practical performance. If chopping the fins made it louder but slower I'd leave it alone!

The spring sleeves go where the coils are closest together to stop them binding. Fit the springs so the writing on them is the right way up :)

I also use standard rims, and have used 215 45 17 Kumho V70's with no issues. Now run 215 40 15 AD08's (ebay bargain) and they're good also! Agree with baffled sump comments if going with semi slicks :) Do you have a geo set-up?

If you loosen off the joints then you might be able to twist the bpipe and tighten the joints back up, allowing it to sit closer to the floor of the car. This might depend on the type of exhaust though, it worked with my DC! Either that or drive a different route? Lol

No it wont fit, flanges are at different angles. So you would have to fit a whole OEM system, or you could buy a standard backbox and get an exhaust place to modify it to fit, then you'll still have a 2.5" bpipe but with a quieter backbox and the look you like?

I've just fitted evo 5 OZ F1's to my car - I believe they're 7.5 wide 38 offset. Running 215 45 17 tyres. Lowered on Tein S-tech springs (25mm drop) with -1.5 degrees camber rear and -1.2 degrees front, no scrubbing at all :)

Yeah its worth it! But his plan was always to get it remapped, which is happening monday. That's where the biggest gain will be, but he said the low vtec and higher redline was really helpful on track! He said it never dropped out of vtec :)

My mate has this fitted, he said the biggest difference is the lowered vtec point making it much easier to drive around track. Im thinking of going this way, I have a 4-2-1 manifold and RBC in the garage, but buying a house may mean adding these is out the window :( so reflash may be the way...

I'd be happy with 225bhp from just a reflash, and the ability to remap in thr future. I have same airbox too just different exhaust. Food for thought!

I got the Teg M mate, but how do you mean work differently? Sounds quite similar in vtec, but sounds like its sucking more if that's what you mean?

With my typhoon you could hear it winding up from about 4.5k rpm, then over 6k rpm it was LOUD :D Needs to be in vtec :)

The typhoon or v2 arent the best for power gains, and you will get heatsoak if sat in traffic, but the heatsoak doesnt render the car un-driveable. They sound amazing, much louder than the aem cai and apparantly the hondata airbox mod doesnt give much noise. As its a daily I'd be tempted to...
