A lot of regas places will charge your ac system to run at fridge pressures to make them colder which adds extra strain on the coil.     That sounds like icv to me deano, I had the same issue in the end the car actually stalled out once or twice. When you removed the TB did you strip out the icv valve underneath and clean that out? That solved my issue and revs are now steady at 900rpm when coasting.

    I got a second pair of hands to help out the other day and plugged both hoses with bolts and lost about an egg cups worth. Seems it was creating a vacuum and sucking the coolant through.
