Does sound like the timing chain tensioner,Tegiwa do good deals on genuine honda ones, have alook in the traders section, obviously you will have to replace the chain as well & get the tappets set at the same time

Defo the timing chain streched/jumped, incorrect phase is the most acurate & common fault code

We used to fit them & the box was under the drivers seat, 2 cuts to the ignition & 2 cuts to the fuel pump, Fuel pump wires located behind glovebox & central locking wires located o/s/f kick pannel

I do loads of them at work so im use to doing them in situe but you might have to remove door card & glass if you get stuck but there quite easy

The run channel seal is the pic above , yes thats the part you need To replace it put window down then just pull top left corner down & out of the seal, then peel it out of the run channel then pull the seal up etc Then to fit new 1 lube up the back of the seal & slide the seal down the window...

I wouldnt route it from the foglight blank/fog lamp as if u go through a puddle then the possability of majour engine damage will happen

Has it got HFT fitted as we have loads of issues with these causing a current drain

Looks like srs bypass wires with a 2ohm resistor/diode mayb get the srs system code read

Use G3 it will go in seconds with a bit of elbow grease lol then just buff back up with car polish it will be fine

Ok wishbone bushes are approx £18 each from honda & our labour price is £45 + vat per side As for the driveshaft we would charge £45 + vat plus parts

New tailgate & hinge or 2nd hand one , just make sure the 2nd hand 1 isnt split

What happends with this is the hinge siezes up & with still opening the tailgate it splits the tailgate behind where the hinge bolts on

It will probably be the bulb behind the clocks Remove the clocks & replace the bulb

Ok try & get the p codes that were stored in the memory Ask your mechanic to check the pins where the multi-plug goes into the abs/vsa control unit

Was the replacement loom out of a 2007 fn2 ?

Replacing the abs control unit is easyer than replacing all the wheel bearings We realy ned the p codes before you go replacing parts

No worrys Just had another think back to 2008/9/10 and there was a recall/Bulletin for the fn2 rubbing through the wireing harness under the top engine mount Just make sure the recall/Bulletin has been done & check the loom

Vsa/Abs/control unit is all 1 unit & is located behind the front bumber If u tell me the p codes i can tell you where the problem lies 9 times out of 10 its the control unit at fault Have a google search for BBA Reman they can recon your faulty unit

A streched chain will normally pull up a fault of incorrect phase between the cam & crank sensor As for the missfire on No 3 cylinder , swop No 3 & 4 plugs then see if the missfire moves to No 4 if not then swop No 3 & 4 coil packs & see if the missfire moves to No 4

Mayb its had a friendly tester or the tester/s have just missed them

Pre facelift should have them in the wings as u say & facelift models have them in the wing mirrors If they dont have ether then they shouldnt realy pass a uk mot

The fan needs to be fitted mate And the single pin multi plug is where the ac compressor plugs into the fans when ac is fitted

It can be done without splitting the bearing mate

There not available to buy seperate as they come with the front splitter/spoiler Mayb ask around the forum as some members might have there old ones lieing around from when theyv fitted fogs or air induction flow pipes

The only , bulletin on the fn2 wireing was the o/s/f wireing harness that runs under the top engine mount

Im not saying you should have to turn the steering all the way left or right to engage the steering wheel lock im just advizing to try it Yes your correct in saying you shouldnt have to turn the steering that far to engage the lock but over a forum its hard to diagnose so lets start with the basics

Only replace the shocks if they are knocking or have lost the gas/fluid Just replace the bumpstops

Do you mean the steering lock doesnt engage ? Try turning the steering wheel all the way to the left & all the way to the right

It will just fall down again & again & again

Its suppose to be connected to a rubber section that sits inside the top mount

Remove shocker Use spring clamp to clamp spring, remove top mount & bumpstop, replace bump stop & rebuild

Sounds like the bump stop has come adrift

I use Genuine but thats because im a honda specialist

The inner pad will be lower than the outer pad & normally has a metal wear indicator on it , when the pads get warmer & when you swerve from side to side it will be applying more pressure to 1 side than the other

Better to get it done by someone who knows the engines realy Not dissing any other mechanics out there but if it gets timed up incorrectly after the cams have sprung you will encounter probelms

Above post is partially correct Yes it was dealer installed BUT is wasnt a fairly simple install We use to get 10hrs to fit the ac system & believe me it took longer than that We use to fit the systems when the ep3 1st came as an accessory upgrade & what a pain in the A** it was

Mate i see this symbol at least twice a month (im a honda specialist) You need to get the srs system code read with HDS or simlar , it means there is a fault with the airbag system on the car so if an accident occures the airbags will not deploy

Thats the airbag light mate not the seatbelt light , Its indicating a fault in the srs system

Thought u could of taken a pic of the top of the compressor/condensor to show the missing pipe Reason i asked is we broke an ep3 last week but its been crushed now so i dont have the pipes anymore, sorry And there is only 2 pipes that go to the condencer , botton pipe goes from reciever dryer...

We,v used the ebay ones before , the TYC seem to be the best fit etc &a very good patten part

Test the clocks 1st mate to eliminate them

They all sit just below half

If the droplinks are ok i would try the Antirole bar D bushes , there only about £18 for the pair from honda

We use 5w 30 fs Ls in all honda,s apart from the fk2

Does the window work of the master switch &/or the passenger switch

Press it down & try it , wont do any harm to try , normally if the inertia switch has tripped out the key light will flash continuasly

Does the power outlet work with anything plugged into it
