The first offering from Mugen was the RR, it states in the article this the RR ES. Like the fact its been bored it out to a 2.2.

I saw the Mugen offering in the flesh the other day when I was at Litchfield Imports. The quality is shocking to say the least. Iain did say that he was having a company who specialise in carbon fibre to build an airbox for the FD2.

White cars are not that hard to keep clean IMO. A lot easier than black anyway. I know it's your choice and your money at the end of the day but IMO you really have made a school boy error in not ordering it in white.

You sure about that? I recently watched the rear wheels on my Scoob being spun around by hand whilst it was on the PS ramp and the wheels turned in opposite direction of each other.

When I fitted my Stoptech kit to my CTR I told the insurance (Direct Line). They weren't bothered one bit. They said as long as it wasn't a modification to engine my policy would go unaffected.

I liked to use the RE050 on my CTR. Seemed to suit my driving style. Very soft tyre though and didn't last long. Could get through a set of fronts in about 4500 miles.

Probably not what you want to hear but the only thing I can suggest is to get rid of the V2. It sucks in air from near the exhaust manifold. Not a good thing and will suffer terrible heatsoak when idling in traffic. You'd be better off putting the standard airbox back on.

The ARC airbox is supposed to be good but is also very pricey. The standard airbox can flow for enough for over 400bhp so just fitting an uprated filter panel will be more than enough. It will be the ECUTEK and the downpipe that will really see you gains.

People who are knocking Litcho's pricing of the FD2 should first check with the other suppliers to see what they getting in their OTR price. Iain offers a warranty on all his FD2's along with a Thatcham CAT1 alarm.

Just buy the Stoptech or AP Racing kit and be done with it. Might be more expensive but at least you'll safe in the knowledge that you have bought a quality piece of kit.

Maybe it would worth getting in touch with Stoptech directly. When I ordered my kit direct from them I opted for the optional anodised discs and bells to protect against things like salt corrosion. This kind of thing needs to be highlighted IMO.

I think you would be pleasantly surprised on the insurance front. Go with a specialist like A-Plan or Keith Michael Insurance. There are guys on SNet who have had cheaper quotes for JDM Scoobs over a UK model.

What makes you say that about the EP3? I though they were more or less at rock bottom now TBH. What is the forecast depreciation of an FN2 out of curiosity?
