Forgot to add that - seconded that the wear rate is good. About 8-10k out of my rears and I drive pretty hard and then 18k out of the fronts.

I put Eagle F1 Asymmetrics on in the end and I have to say they are the best tyre I've every had on a car! Shed loads of traction in the wet and dry giving lots more confidence during the winter and much less tail happy action!

It was an option that then became standard on the 08 model so if you are not the original owner I would presume they didn't select the VSA as an option...you don't need it anyway so I wouldn't worry ;)

VSA is available on 06+ cars with drive by wire throttle but beware that it'll cos you over £400 a year on tax (£215 on <55) and mods are much harder to get hold of for DBW and there are currently no ECU mods at all for them. This is because the F20C was changed to an F22C for the US and JDM...

Also directly above the driver's right hand shoulder, sharp roof frame mech wears a hole through unless the frame is filed down and smoothed off or the roof elbows covered up.

I disagree, my LSD is kicking in all the time and I know from experience of friends with DC5's etc that theirs does too. It all depends on how hard you drive your car and what type of roads you drive on. If its motorway cruising then you're right, there is no point but if its a lot of B road...

I'd say forget EBC Yellow Stuff, they'll be terrible when cold and like Hasnic says you probably won't warm them up enough when driving on the road. I run Mintex 1144's on the front and Black Diamond Predator's on the rear of my S and they haven't been on it for all that long but I am impressed...

Doh missed the boat on this one lol! Still trying to catch up on everything :lol: Fuel consumption is surprising to hear, I would get about 280-300 miles out of a tank on my EP3 even when it was tuned whereas my mates std DC5 (bar catback) only ever saw 220 to 240 miles from a tank... Ah...

DC5's are well worth the drive to go and see in my opinion. When my mate bought one we drove all the way from Northampton to Bristol, looked at a couple there at import centres, then drove to newbury and he bought the one in Newbury as it was the best of the lot and also had a nice Fujitsubo...

Smoked back with a red H in it so it stands out rather than blends in with the rest of the light cluster. Rear valance and boot spoiler is also a give away too so I think its clearly identifyable as being a Type R and I don't even own one! Does anyone else prefer the wheels on this one...

0w-40 is a bit too thin for the engine, get some 5w40 or 10w40 The Helix Ultra is a semi-syn oil (AFIK) as this is what the muppets put in my car on its last service trying to tell me fully synthetic shouldnt be used, which I wasnt at all impressed about! Its probably different oil each time...

G40 you can def tell by the sound it makes but I've gotta agree no one would know any different otherwise. Clio Cup though I'd disagree. Wider front arches, wider track, lower, waffle grills, cup front splitter and rear spoiler, speedline turini's and a one off colour all make it look far more...

Do you guys like the alloys on the lastest rev. of the car? I'm not a big fan myself, think they've taken the edge off the styling making it look a bit more sedate......even though it wont be!

I've literally just picked up my S2000 and i was initially put off by insurance quotes of around the £1200 mark. I found a website that recommended using these insurance search engines though and ended up with a quote of £681 including everything apart from breakdown cover...

im now some cars later and the G60 went about 6 weeks ago so im going to be updating with what ive had before long..... and what im driving now!
