KYB do shocks for the EP3. I had 2 pairs in the 6 years I had mine. 1st set, great. 2nd set, just OK. Think they were 75 a side. I bought KYB top mounts and they were absolute garbage. Bilstein also do front shocks and I believe they are decent. As for top mounts, maybe just go to Honda mate.

Mines on 156000 now. Still on original timing chain. I've read on here and elsewhere that Honda say its good for the life of the car. I don't nail it everywhere though to be fair. I don't believe everything I read on the net but I'll take my chances with this one.

If its just the casing, I got a replacement one off ebay and replaced the internals - there was no issue with the function, I just damaged the fob when I came off my longboard. To replace a faulty one, I would call some local lads who specialize in ECU's/immob's etc and see what they recommend.

MY EP3 has done this since Ive had it. Its especially hard to get into 2nd on very cold mornings. I just let the old girl warm up and gear changes are fine. Does yours still crunch when warmed up?

I believe its a good idea to replace the front and rear sensors at the same time. Only purchase Denso or NTK brands as others may not kill the light. I've had a P0141 code for about 2 months now but it went off the other day and hasnt come back on... winner.

I gave into the seat in my CTR. It was a pain until I just put it as far back as it goes on the rails and into the factory upright position.. pretty good position with the steering wheel rake adjusted as high as it will go. :-)

IIRC - if you disconnect the battery for a couple minutes it does some kind of mini reset. Definitely worth a shot! Other than that it may be the immob/security board...

If you buy a replacement caliper, make sure you get the right one - they came with either Nisin or Lucas calipers IIRC and I don't think there was any pattern with regards to the year.

I can highly recommend a set of OSRAM nightbreaker 2 bulbs for 15 quid for the winter months. Make a massive difference from the standard bulbs.

You may as well do ball joints, control arm bushes and ARB bushes all at the same time. Pointless just doing one thing. Once its done, its done and it isn't a massive job.

I've done 180 odd miles on APPROXIMATELY half a tank. Some of you may think I am talking porkies. It was the most boring journey as it was all motorway at 55mph in the middle of the night. It was a voluntary full saving exercise en route to Cornwall, just to see what I could achieve.

For a MK5 Escort, the Cosworth has aged extremely well. Still looks absolutely amazing to this day.

Genuine question here on Sump Smashing - is it easy to save the engine? I guess as soon as the Oil light comes on you kill the ignition if you haven't already done so? I suppose the oil circulating the motor won't escape as quickly as the oil in the sump thus buying you some time.... Awesome...

Ive replaced mine with ES bushes. Much fatter than OEM. Getting the old ones out wasnt too bad, put a hack saw blade through the hole and saw away if you cant get them out. Just dont saw too much or you'll hit the wishbone! New ones came with lube and slid in using a vice very easily. Wasnt as...

I remember the PAS going on my MK2 Golf GTi's ALL the time... it was fine when driving. Maneuvering was awful, especially after doing biceps in the gym. :-)

I think the really cheap ones are made of rubbish lightweight alloy and can make gear changes feel terrible - from what Ive heard. I even weighed my OEM one and enquired when buying a replacement, make sure you get one that weighs around 150g or more to avoid disappointment!

I knew someone who NOS'd their CRX back in the early noughties. It went like a rocket. Not heard of a K20 being done - I cant think of a reason why it wouldnt be possible - then again I know absolutely nothing compared to most of the people on here.

Ive had a K&N Typhoon for about 5 years. Driven long distance in severe wet weather on occassions. No problems. Google image search this filter and see if yours sits in the same location. As for the AEMS etc, you'd have to read up on them but I think they are usually OK.

Nope. Thats by design that mate, they are all like that. Well, all the ones Ive seen. Some filters like AEM sit right down in that hole - great for track but not so good for dailys as they can be prone to contributing to hydro-lock in severe wet weather.

I'm astounded every time at how mine still revs and will quite happily go to the redline (not the limiter) to keep me in VTEC for the next gear - all at over 150,000 miles with no knocking or other issues. Still pulls like a train. Did 208bhp on the rollers with 140,000 on the clock last year.

I used the pipe wrenches - without protection.... (inner tube kept slipping, even with the grip of a thousand deaths)... bareback sometimes ain't good for your knob. :-) FYI - OEM gearknob weighs approx 145g. Just in case anyone needs to know for future reference.
