All done now people Took me all of today to finish :lol: Had to change the fluid in the clutch as it was very manky, but couldnt bleed it for some reason. Turned out the bleed nipple was leaking through its thread, bit of PTFE tape and we was all sorted. ;) Just got to hope it dosnt...

From what i read, I dont think so. Apparently the more expensive the lock, the easier it is to bump key. Mainly due to better materials and tighter build tolerances mean the pins bounce easier

Had my car mapped at CPL on friday. As you can see there was quite a big before and after difference. Looking at the graph I think transmission loss is about 18%, is that about right? 8)

NOT a good idea, you cant change disks without changing pads. the pads shape themselves to the disk. Change the lot and go easy on the brakes for the first couple of hundred miles

Common fault with these Ben Most of them came back when new for this problem, It was something to do with the ribbon, Pioneer actualy sent out a replacement part for any that went faulty. I know AEL (audio repair company) did loads of these

try the reverse, IE hold the button when its at the top

open driver window, but dont let go of the button once its at the bottom, hold it for about 3 seconds, should be fine then

sealed bearing type mate, u wont feel play in it by rocking it top and bottom like u used to in the old days Ive heard a few owners saying their wheel bearings have gone on the rear, tuned out they went back to POTS from toyos......or more commonly tyres have worn, this causes the same sort...

Well beeing a 106 Gti i would of suggested the coil pack, but since thats been changed it cant be. Fuel cut off switch hasnt been touched has it? (red switch on bulkhead)

DO you have calipper wind back tool? most pistons have to pushed and screwed at the same time.

Chris, If i was you i would download a stock map for the K20 and run that to see if that helps, might just be the map you are using is not suited to your car. then maybe try a few different maps from other DC5 owners

Wiring in serries will see 8ohm at the amp if you wire in paralle (sp?) the amp should see roughly 2ohm, this will give you more power to sub Im pretty sure that amp is 2ohm stabe when bridged so should be ok

yeh that was the tricky part..i spent a long time moving the foam and pulling the covers tight over the seat. IF you mean the small crease type wrinkles, dont worry after a week they will fall out and the seat cover will become tight again :)
