I can understand the camera issues to be fair. Consider that if it were to come loose perhaps, it could find its way into the drivers footwell and hinder your brake pedal travel. Not what you want coming into paddock hill bend at 120odd mph. It could easy spell disaster for you and others...

Yep!!! Made it very clear. You're being undercut massively by online quotations via compare the market, and that's with calling to confirm the price also. I am trying to get a better deal through a specialist but it just isn't looking feasible.

    EP3 COILOVER PROBLEMS

    Lowering springs ruining the car?

I completely understand the thread. It seems it's all about your misinterpretation of the workings of a McPherson strut suspension system.
  82. Stoo.

    Lowering springs ruining the car?

OK, in some cases, past horizontal, and it still handled much better than stock. It would be great if you could subjectively substantiate your claims rather than just regurgitating. (By which I mean use dampers that aren't past their best, like your argument.)
  83. Stoo.

    Lowering springs ruining the car?

My DC5's were lowered LCA's were level. Handled better than factory. #experience. Those DC5's in the BTCC, and the TGM race cars. Sh1t. Don't handle. Understeer everywhere.... Oh, wait. I'm not an engineer, but I do work for quite a big motor manufacturer in Technical Development.

    Lowering springs ruining the car?

Argument* Having owned one or two Type R's myself, each and every one of them having FRSU with either coilovers or springs, I can attest to the difference being in a positive direction. Many many people on here and other forums have benefited from this set up. If you haven't refreshed the...

    Lowering springs ruining the car?

Why ask the original bloody question then if you're not going to accept anybodies opinion, view or more importantly, experience!!? Only spout regurgitated, plagiarised toss. Surely it's a statement?

  89. Stoo.

Car Starting Problem (garage doesn't even know)

It would affect running absolutely. If the cam timing is out of phase then yes, it would struggle to start and run. If it's cranking, and getting fuel, then it's more than likely an ignition fault. Probably a coil pack. Any fault codes?

how often should oil be changed?

Still, too often and a waste of money IMHO.
  93. Stoo.

how often should oil be changed?

12500 miles or 12 months... Whichever comes first. So no car should go more than 12k miles, or 12 months without a service/oil change. Some idiots change at 3k miles, believing it will protect the engine better... If you want to change more regularly, 6k miles would be OK. Depending on how...
