Looking at the seeker blade replacement, toyed with the idea of the mugen but really want the feel's adjustable blade but it's a lot of money for what it is.

In regards to the air box discussion, Am I better leaving the HKS intake on? Or buying a MUGEN or similar? The HKS sounds the part but I'm not sure it's getting the best out of the engine.

Looking at your build thread dotty our cars ain't that far apart parts wise, I think I will defo take your advise loxy/dotty and opt for shocks and springs. Project mu are awesome and I wouldn't fit any other brake components, I had pmu discs and pads on the ek9 and a full pmu brake kit on the DC5.

After owning a few hondas over the years i always said i'd import my own fd2 when the time was right. Since 2008 i have been putting it off as other cars on my list kept coming up and i had to have them, dc5's ek9's dc2's jdm ep3's evo's etc but after selling my last and final evo ix MR FQ 360...

Hey guys, does anyone know what iso lead is compatible for the FD2? been to halfrauds today and as the car is a import they couldn't help me. had the same problem with the DC5, and i think in the end i used one from a accord. could this be the same for the FD2? cheers in advance

They where designed and mapped for that engine. A uk/jdm EP3/DC5 was not.

I have done this with a twin loop system and can confirm its a very nice sound.. Its not as loud as you would think or expect but makes a very very nice noise IMO. I must state that i did this on a 96 DC2 but cant be a million miles off the same sound. I had a custom 2.5 inch straight pipe made...

Check all fueses and relays, check for dodgy coils and plugs. other than that id say it was sensor related, could be a number of things, IACV, cam sensor, crank sensor, thorrtle position, knock sensor and 02 sensors. What engine are you running? Jdm or uk? If you have a JDM engine make sure you use wideband 02 sensors. Uk engines use narrowband, someone correct if i am wrong

Running a k20 unit which was not designed for a RBC from factory, with out mapping isnt a very good idea. The engine will be running very lean and melted valves or fried pistons maybe the result of prolonged use.

I found ad08's slippy compaired to the spec 2's in the wet!! But we all run different set ups and sized tyres maybe i just had a bad tyre size choice or coilovers where set 2 hard!! Just couldnt get on with them in the wet but over all worth the money dude

Yeh i agree with the prada spec ii in the wet they aint that bad... I think as long as your running 17"'s you will b fine i run spec 2's on my jdm ep3 and a friend had spec 2's on his dc2 and in the wet he was all over the place. I still had good grip in the wet!!

Spoon is roughly 3kg less than oem as far as im aware. Im sure someone will correct if im wrong

Mugen is probably the coolest lookin exhaust ever but it is made for silence and with silence comes restrictions

The mugen will give better power than a DC5 oem box. Im not sayin the mugen is rubbish its fair from that but if you look at dyno figures most standard design exhausts like the spoon, BC, toda, feels, fujitsubo, HKS these will always give better power as their made with a straight through design...

Well everyones opinion is different but in theory exhaust gases travels further in a twin loop which makes it restrictive. The oem back box on the dc5 works the same but internaly which isnt much better. Best power is made with exhaust that goes from the manifold straight out the back.

Build quality is good but most you find second hand these days are old. HKS make spoon's N1 exhaust system if you want to compair. The silent hi power is designed to give gains but at the same time silent. The mugen twin loop is the most restictive as it has to double back on its self. Hks's...

The video that is posted in this thread has had vtec abuse sounds like my mates he only had it about 8months

It does depend on what b-pipe but a spoon n1 cat back system starts off deep and droney but will eventually got raspy as the baffles worn out. When u here a raspy spoon N1 its either really old or had vtec abuse lol. Or if there is a straight through b-pipe

If you read the thread again it clearly states and mentions about gruppe m style induction kits, so my point was surely it would b more likely to make power than any other form of air box or induction mod.

Surely a gruppe M gives some sort of gain over the standard box!! Its less restriced inside the box and it basicly gets direct cold air as it rests on the scuttle panel. I no if u cut the baffeling out of the standard box it makes a slight increase in power but honda made them with the baffels...

Gruppe M... It basicly sounds like ITB's for a lot less money
