That's what happen to mine aswell, ran well for a day but EML light always came back on. What's happened is the chains jumped a few teeth and there is a very easy way to check which you can do yourself. Take off the cam cover and rotate the chain and check the marks on chain and pulleys match...

I've just had my alloys refurbed and need to seal them with some sort of wax to prevent brake dust build-up. Anyone got any products they've used, I've tried a search but they seem to be regarding cleaners not waxes.

Well the cars been lowered and uprated brakes (grooved disc's, red stuff pads) Clutch maybe on its way out as its hard to get in gear sometimes. Would like to put it on one side but I dont think I could.

Well seen a JRSC for about grand and half :D:twisted: but cant afford the extra for a LSD after going to Vegas ATM.

Would a CTR be driveable (would you be able to use the power) if fitted with a JRSC and no LSD?

Well with my timing chain jumped about 4 teeth and still made 218 bhp (with intake, exhaust & Kpro) on RR. So about 1% down, which makes me think you've either got serious stretch or really bad timing which you'd notice. It's not too big of a job to check though, rocker cover of and rotate...

I'd recommend Honda :eek: I know there the stealers, but really impressed as had cheap work, quick turn round, and certainly know what they are doing.

Did you replace the tensioner aswell?, sounds strange then to be getting low compression :confused: FYI I drove my CTR for about 1 month with a similar teeth jump whilst waiting for the tensioner to come from Japan (no vtec tho :() and it doesn't seem to have any issues. Might be worth me...

Strange I never noticed. Is there a way of checking the keys are not in the car or surrounding area? without phyiscally looking? e.g. the car self locking after a set period of time.

Well you cannot buy the rings separate :evil: even though they move on the drivesahft (Honda either didn't know/tell me) and the outer hubs are £172+vat I will have a look for the isometric I had sent over for you EDIT :

Mine always kicks in, but the reason for this is I had a slight off :rolleyes: and the driveshaft rubbed against the wishbone. This caused some of the teeth on the ABS ring to wear, hence the the sensor thinks the wheel is not spinning. So i'd look at the sensor alignment and also the...

Was going too and went car transplants (about half hour drive) on Sat morning for a complete drive shaft @ £75. They had it on the computer system but none on the shelf :mad: :mad: :mad: waste of an hour of my life

Affraid not :mad: I had the isometric assembly drawing faxed over and they class it as part of the knuckle (hence £171 + vat) But its only a press fit on the shaft and I've already moved the position so can be replaced.

Well I fitted all the disc's and pads and managed to release the piston. Think the problem is due to the ABS ring I damaged and the brake on that side sometimes kicking in the ABS So I'm after a ABS toothed ring if anyone knows of any suppliers. Can't find any on the web

After having a bit of a crash a while ago I managed to damage the ABS toothed ring on the driveshaft. So on certain occasions when I brake the ABS kicks in. Is this ABS ring replaceable or will it be a complete driveshaft?

Well considering I'm gettin rust on one rear arch and the other has a key mark down the other side I'm going to get the car basically sprayed. Therefore I'm after a bodyshop (pref in the stoke area) who do a good job and will not use my CTR for the chippy run/joy riding

Tried Direct Line. It was cheaper than TESCO but Confused got it cheaper still Confused were cheap but not as cheap as that for me, must be the mods and TS10 I got for going through red light So think its gonna be SKYInsurance @ £400
