The noise lasts for about 10-15mins, it's the top idle pulley mate, was easy to change! I haven't changed the belt or checked the tension so I'll look into that but im assuming/hoping it's the cold weather! :)

Guys! I had the pulley changed and the noise is still there when I start the car up from cold! Could this be because of the cold weather?? Also it vanishes instantly as soon as I spray a small amount of WD40 on the metal pulley!!! It's starting to really confuse me now!! It's brand new!!

From what i know and read about this mate that White residue under the oil cap is a classic symptom of a cylinder head gasket failure mate! I would definately get it checked from a garage!

Although the battery is reading 12.3v it could have a "bad cell" so when it is put under load ie. When your starting the car, the voltage will drop and you won't have enough!

The ones that you fit the belt to, especially the top one as you look down on the engine at the left hand side! It's squealing everytime I turn the ignition and it's driving me nuts! There is only so many times I can spray it so I'm wanting to get them changed!

ok mate, ill give the autoglym a go for now untill i can get my hands on a decent polisher. like i said before its only small swirls on certain panels and they are only noticeable from close up, but i know they are there :evil: thanks for your help

its the actual console back light that illuminates the buttons, when you turn the lights on, its only illuminating 2 of the 3! not the LED part that lights when you press it!! im hoping its easy to remove and just change the lamp as if i tap the button, it flickers so maybe its come loose??

had my service and valve clearance done today!! think it was around about 80 quid

mate on the near side i.e the pavement side, if you have a supporting bracket then bend the bracket 90 degrees about 3/4 of the way up and attach it to the battery clamp screw that is alredy there. allowing the ballast to sit flush with the headlight, ill get photos up and you will understand...

i have a k+n typhoon kit fitted, its probably me just being paranoid!! he has done a good job with the hondata mod!!!

after taking the car for a good 120 mile round trip to Aberdeen yesterday, when i got back the car was not doing the annoying dropping in revs thing!! it was stable when i dipped the clutch or coming to a stop????? maybe the run was what it needed however, im not sure if im being paranoid...
