I'm really after the extra cooling bits of the BMW Performance Engine Upgrdage kit, as I'm shipping the car to Malaysia. Hot climate, 33 degrees C ambient temperature, high humidity. With the sun beating down on a car sitting in a traffic jam, I'm really worried about the engine temperature. :lol:

Yes, it is! The first time I test drove one, I was utterly confused what the gears were doing. It just kept on going up. :lol:

The other mod I've done was to swap the left flappy paddle gear shift wiring around. So now I get left paddle shift down with a flick, and right paddle shift up with a flick. It used to be both sides shift up with a flick, and shift down with a push. I don't know what BMW engineers were...

Before you turn off your car or A/C, turn the airflow control away from the windscreen setting. Leaving it on the windscreen setting seems to allow vapour to escape back out from the A/C and condense on your windscreen. :)

I think EP3s are pretty reliable, if generally looked after. Eg. make sure engine oil is topped up, coolant is topped up, those kind of things. ;) I have my 52 plate 4 years now and nothing has gone wrong yet, though I only do about 6k miles a year. :)

Don't know if changing the battery would help with the alarm going off. I've just got a non-responsive key fob. I press the button and nothing happens. Luckily if I hold it down long enough, it will unlock/disarm the immobiliser. Battery seems dead.
