Don't do anything about the recall yet - dealers have been advised not to fit the new levers due to a cosmetic problem. When that is resolved the dealers will be issued with adequate numbers initialy and then will be fitting them as and when the cars come in.

Be careful taking it off as it is directly attached to the wiper motor and they are expensive. Undo the nut and it should come off not too bad.

Just aded a bit about the MOT test and Road Fund License to it last night..

Just a general note about MOT's. Due to the computerisation of MOT stations, the test now takes longer and there are only a certain number of test per day per station. Coming up to the last registration change I believe there were more cars needing MOT's than there were spaces available...

It is possible but should not be fitted as it could invalidate the manufacturer warrantya nd the Insurance. The R is made of lighter materials than the normal Civic and not designed for towing anything - not even a Jet ski.

Jason, the RRP from Honda is approx £110 for the red mats. Less forum discount from my dealership makes it under £100 if you are around the Hemel area.

The main problem here is a build up of dust and fluff in the mechanism and is not considered a warranty item. The cure is to get some warm soapy water and a clean cloth, pull the seat belt completely out and wipe the belt as it slowly retracts, also make sure you clean the guide where it goes...
